We collect as little as we can and we don't sell your data. This policy explains what we hold, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. Who's responsible

Free Collective For Fashion & Clothing Design, operating as Free Collective, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is the data controller for information collected through freecollective.store.

2. What we collect

When you order: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, order contents, and order history.

Payment details: processed directly by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

When you browse: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and time on site — collected through cookies and analytics.

When you contact us or subscribe: name, email, and whatever you choose to tell us in your message.

Social media: if you interact with us on social platforms, we may see your public profile information.

3. Why we use it

To process, fulfil, and deliver your order
To handle returns, refunds, and customer service
To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and transactional emails
To send marketing emails, but only if you've opted in
To understand how the site is used and improve it
To prevent fraud and meet our legal and tax obligations

We rely on contract performance for order processing, your consent for marketing, legal obligation for record-keeping, and legitimate interest for fraud prevention and site improvement.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with parties who need it to run the business:

Payment processors to take payment securely
Shipping and logistics providers to deliver your order
Our e-commerce platform and hosting provider which stores site and order data
Email and analytics providers for communications and site metrics
Government authorities where legally required

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.

Some of these providers operate outside the UAE. Where data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it's protected to a comparable standard.

5. Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart working, remember preferences, and understand traffic patterns. Essential cookies are required for the site to function. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may stop working properly.

6. How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for 5 years to meet UAE tax and commercial record-keeping requirements. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

7. Your rights

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection, you can ask us to:

Give you a copy of the data we hold on you
Correct anything that's wrong or out of date
Delete your data, where we're not required to keep it
Stop or restrict how we use it
Transfer your data to another provider
Withdraw consent for marketing at any time

Email hello@freecollective.store and we'll respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity first.

8. Marketing

We'll only email you marketing if you've opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask. Unsubscribing from marketing doesn't stop transactional emails about orders you've placed.

9. Security

We use SSL encryption, secure hosting, and restricted internal access to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and will notify you and the relevant authority if a breach affects your information.

10. Children

Our site isn't directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
